Quite an unprecedented concept, joining commonly contradictory features – small size & agility with power & high capacity.

The small size – gabarites of a (larger) passanger car – improves accessibility, which is especially critical in congested urban environment, but also in narrow forest areas or hill roads or elsevhere.

The system is designed as relatively small-sized and with relatively plain construction and in connection with that – also relatively inexpensive, designed for a broad sector of potential users.

Specification

The System is designed especially for fire-fighting in urban areas, in industrial zones, in forests and hilly landscapes.

Its essential characteristics are:

• Agility & passability – enables relatively quick and unhindered access
• Readiness for action – a very short preparation period allows to start nearly instantly the action of fire-fighting
• Great capability – in spite of modest size, the System is highly surpassing any ordinary mobile fire-fighting system; the special trailer to the wehicle allows to double the capacity of the System
• Functionality & simplicity in operation – due to high automation level of the working process, working with the pre-filled containers (cassettes) of extinguishing agent, etc. – operating with the whole system is relatively easy, with relatively little preparation
• Reliability – the system works reliably even in extreme conditions, like extreme temperatures (-50…+50⁰C), wet marine or dry desert environment etc.

Characteristics/figures

The concept vehicle is projected with the following characteristics:

• Max quantity of extinguishing agent – 900kg (2 250kg, with trailer)
• Max area covered/extinguished – 1500…2400m2 (3700…6000m2, with trailer)
• Max reach/distance of extinguishing – 50…60m
• Max total weight of the vehicle – 3,7T (6,0T, with trailer)

How it works

The central unit of the system is a 15-barrel launching module on top of the vehicle, loaded with a 15-chamber cassette, designed normally for three consecutive shootings/volleys ( from 5 barrels & chambers each), each volley designed to cover/extinguish a burning area (sector) of 80…150m2.

The launching module is equipped with the anti-recoil system (because otherwise the relatively light construction of the vehicle would not stand the recoil of launching the 50kg load).

There are 5 additional cassettes on the vehicle + up to 9 more on the trailer (if present).

Reloading of the cassettes is implemented with the automatic manipulator on the rear of the vehicle. Each reloading process will last nominally 20…25sec. Principally there is a possibility to shoot out all the (maximally) available 45 loads (in 15 cassettes) within a 12…15min period, extinguishing an area up to 5000…6000m2, which is an extraordinary performance, in comparison with any system used today in the world.
