The propelling and pulverizing impulse of a gas-generating explosion of a specific explosive will form a fast-moving volley of the mixture of explosion gases and micro-particles of the (extinguishing or other) agent;
By using a multi-barrel launching device, there the single volleys from the different barrels are interacting, increasing manifold the compound effect by distance reached etc.
The traditional „water-pumping“ technology has virtually reached its limits.
The Impuse-launching technology still enables to build effectively the machinery with capabilities of a totally different standard.
Today commonly used systems, primarily the throwing water with a single jet, e.g. by fighting a wildfire, are spending for complete extinguishing 5-50 (and up to 100)L/m² of water or spec. liquid.
By using the Impulse-launching technology this figure is 0,3-0,7L/m² only.
Due to this crucial advantage the systems on Impulse principle are highly efficient, capable for a large-scale and quick extinguishing, and on the other hand – allowing to minimize the damages from water and/or other extinguishing agents.
The Exceptional feature
The Impulse-launching technology is the only one in the world today enabling to use as the extinguishing agent also the solid bulk materials – sand, ground, snow etc., possible to get/scoop on the site by using of a special equipment for refilling the impulse launchers.
The Impulse-launching technology, unlike to the commonly used technologies, allows quick & large-scale extinguishing from a safe distance up to 100m and more, minimizing herewith the danger to the firemen.
It allows also to create effectively for the people the safe exit corridors from the fire zone.
The exceptional efficiency of Impulse-launching technology enables to reach the goals by a spending of relatively little resources and in a relatively short time. Using of this technology is also minimizing the damages to the objects treated.
The machinery working by this technology is relatively simple and compact and relatively not expensive.
Due to its plainness (a small number of units of high complexity, like high-pressure pumps etc.), to a modular structure of its working units, allowing to reliably protect (to insulate and hermetize) all the vital parts of it – the reliability and durability of the systems is very high. The systems of this technology are reliably working even in the most extreme conditions – like hot & sandy desert climate (destroing quickly any rubber seals and joints), wet & stormy marine weather, extreme temperatures ranging -50…+50 °C etc. This, in addition, means a low level of maintenance & repair costs.
High-tech & Proven
The Impulse technology, particularly, in combination with the multi-barrel devices, has been worked out in the former USSR on the highest scientific level, by allocating of substantial resources. These works have carried out by and by supervision of Prof. V. Zakhmatov, the member of PulsTech team.
As the Impulse technology proved itself as an exceptionally efficient one and even indespensable for some missions, in the USSR there were launched many experimental projects for its implementation and the technology has been tested in real life in many practical occasions.
After the collapse of USSR these programs were mostly closed however the basics of this technology has remained unchanged. PulsTech is now fully engaged with revival and large-scale development of this exceptional technology, having a great potential to change substantially the whole field of fire-fighting & safety in the world.
